Another good employee has quit. This is the fourth one in a matter of weeks. Nothing has changed in the business. You offer good pay and great benefits so what gives? First, are you asking these employees that are leaving by performing an exit interview? Second, are you listening to what they are telling you?
The problem could be the start of toxic negativity. You may not even be aware this problem exists if you not involved with your employees. Did someone get overlooked for a promotion? They could be creating some negativity by bad talking the person that did get the promotion, even saying management is blind to the this employee’s slacking, being late, etc. If a situation of this type is not handled swiftly, be on the lookout for more resignations. A good employee does not want to be surrounded by constant negativity. You also run the risk of more employees becoming negative and an outbreak will occur.
This is a great article that discusses the problem with negativity. http://www.omniagroup.com/how-to-keep-negativity-from-infecting-your-workplace/
